What’s in a bag?  Everything!

While in treatment, it is your lifeline, filled with all the goods (movies, books, Doctor notes, nausea medication, hair piece, hat, water/juice, notes of inspiration from friends, prayers, change of clothes, treatment record, etc.) that is always packed and ready to go with you into the daily, weekly, monthly battle for survival.  One’s packed treatment bag is carried like a badge of courage…pushing you to carry on.  When you are too weak from treatment, the bag (your lifeline) is carried by a friend or loved one because you might be too weak to carry it.  But, it remains the one true constant that you can focus on as your life and body continue to change during the course of the struggle.

Yali’s Carry On® tote bag, Yali’s story, is for everyone who has been touched by the effects of battling/surviving any chronic illness, personally or with a loved one, friend or co-worker.  It is an inspirational legacy that provides function, but most of all…the gift of hope.

Learn more about Yali’s story and the power of the peacock!

Need a hug? Give a much needed hug to a hospitalized child by purchasing cards from our Adopt-A-Bear Program.

Purchase cards from us by mailing in the attached form located here.

We then work with the staff in the Family Services department to deliver this cuddly bear to a child’s bedside and help brighten their day!  Teddy bears are from the Gund Message Bears Collection and measure  12” with removable hooded sweatshirts.  A unique card is sent to you for forwarding to someone special and announcing this adoption.

A new delivery is being scheduled and we have bears needing adoption!  Get yours today!

21st Annual Golf Outing

and Night at the Club

Monday, June 24, 2013

Q:  What could be better than a day on the links?

A:  A day of golf that is followed by an evening with great food, friends, prizes and the knowledge that you are helping hospitalized children!

It’s actually two events rolled into one!  The fun starts with a golfers brunch and a shotgun start, best ball format.  After the round, golfers are joined by their spouses and other guests for A Night at the Club.  Cocktails, dinner, and a live auction are all part of the fun.

Join us at the beautiful Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove for our annual Golf Outing and Night at the Club.
